During my time as an SEO Account Manager at Business Promotion, I have noticed that a few questions are asked quite often. If you have a few questions about SEO and marketing, the FAQs below might be helpful for you!
Q:I received an email stating that "John's marketing" company can instantaneously give my company the #1 ranking spot on Google due to the fact that they have a special relationship with Google. Is that true?
A:From Google - "No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google.
Beware of SEOs that claim to guarantee rankings, allege a 'special relationship' with Google, or advertise a 'priority submit' to Google. There is no priority submit for Google. In fact, the only way to submit a site to Google directly is through our Add URL page or by submitting a Sitemap and you can do this yourself at no cost whatsoever."
Q:I have multiple locations but only one website. Our website went live 2 months ago, but we're only ranking for one location. What gives? I should have the same ranking for all of my locations.
A:We can get you there. We start your SEO campaign here at Business Promotion with one local city and continue to adjust your SEO marketing based on the success of traffic we have with each new area. In other words, give us a little time and you'll be where you want to be.
Q:We were ranking for everything on page 1, and now I suddenly can't find my company anywhere on Google. What happened?
A:This could be the result of a number of reasons. One reason we've been running into frequently is if you had a different SEO company in the past, they might have done some "Black Hat" SEO techniques, which could include less-than-admirable backlinks and any number of practices that could violate the Google Webmaster Guidelines.
